This blog is basically a running commentary of where I am with my project and where I get my ideas and inspiration from towards my Unit 3 Textiles. Some of the things I post might be compleatly random but they will all contribute to this project. Hope you find some interesting stuff on here.

TOPSHOP
Here are two dressed that I have found when scrolling through the Topshop's website that I think have features from the 1920's. These are from the fringe, to the use of colour, to the boyish styles that where all key then which made the statement in the era. Proving everything comes back in fashion at some point!
PAPERFASHION
PAPERFASHION is basically one of the best blogs to do with fashion illustrations i have ever seen. Katie Rodgers is amazing! Every single thing on this blog is unreal and the way she uses water colour, glitter and all different types of media is great! They're all so pretty. She doesn't just create these pieces she also does tutorials to help give us the skills to create things like she does, which I hope too soon, so we'll see how that goes and i'll put some pictures on.

Deborah Lynn Scott; Titanic Fashion Illustrations
A lot of my interest into 1920's fashion has come from the film Titanic and especially the fashion costumes that where designed for Kate Winslett playing Rose. The detail and beauty of the dresses is what to me made the film, as we where show the life style she lived and how the upper class dressed. Deborah Lynn Scott was the costume designer for the film and i think the way she also create these lovely fashion illustrations of the designs look really effective. my favorite outfit of the whole film would be the opening white striped dress which introduces us to the character of Rose. i think that that way the dresses are designed will give me a lot of inspiration for ideas based on what i would like to produce in the project.
